Community Pharmacy Consultations Service (CPCS)
This service improves access for patients with minor illnesses by making it easier for patients to access quick and convenient consultations with the right healthcare professional.
Community pharmacy is the “first port of call” for minor illness and medicines advice.
Once a referral is made via the practice the patient will be asked to contact the pharmacy to arrange an appointment this could be done by either telephone consultation/video consultation or Face2face appointment.
If the patient hasn’t contacted the pharmacy within the 2hrs then the community pharmacy will make contact with the patient.

- Insect bites
Phlebotomy
Dalton Surgery also provides phlebotomy services, please contact the surgery to arrange an appointment.
Flu Vaccines
An influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for patients with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes and residents of nursing and residential homes.
Please contact the reception staff in September for details of the vaccination clinics and to make an appointment. If you are unable to attend the Surgery, a home visit will be arranged to administer the vaccination.
Non-NHS Examinations
The doctors are available to carry out medicals, eg insurance and HGV, PSV or driving licence, by appointment outside surgery hours. Telephone the surgery for an appointment. Please ask at reception for the charges for these services as they may vary.
CHD Clinic
Nurses Angela Robinson and Beverley Kelly like to see all patients with heart disease at least once every year.
Your appointment will be sent to you through the post with a blood request form. Your blood test needs to be taken at least 1 week prior to your appointment. You can contact the surgery on 01484 530068 to arrange an appointment at the practice or we can book you an appointment at Princess Royal Community Health Centre of University Health Centre.
Minor Surgery
Dr. Martland and Dr. Khokhar carry out minor surgical procedures at Dalton Surgery by appointment and the doctors will be happy to advise you on this.
Well Person
Well Woman
Appointments are available most days with the practice nurses for smears, coil checks and other women’s health issues.
Family Planning, Ante-natal and Sexual Health
CONTRACEPTION
Contraceptive care is provided by all the doctors during surgery hours. For further advice contact the surgery to arrange an appointment.

Please make an appointment with the Pratice Nurse at least 6 weeks in advance of your holiday to ensure adequate cover. A charge will be made for certain immunisations and vaccinations which are not covered by the NHS. A list of these charges is held at reception.
